Towards Ambition 2020: skills, jobs, growth

The Commission’s advice to government on how the UK’s education, employment and skills systems could be simplified and made more effective and responsive. The report focuses on three key priorities:

  • Building employer ambition and engagement with skills
  • Motivating people to develop their skills
  • Empowering learners and employers to drive the supply and performance of the employment and skills systems.

Many of the recommendations outlined in the report are closely aligned to NES’s objectives.
